Custom built by Damen Maaskant in The Netherlands in 2023 to the specifications of a seasoned yachtsman, SCINTILLA MARIS was conceived as the ideal go-anywhere platform for limitless cruising and exploration, combining seakeeping qualities, comfort, safety, ecological responsibility and technical sophistication in a highly distinctive package, built to superyacht standards.
SCINTILLA MARIS is a newly constructed Explorer Yacht with a heavy, recycled trawler hull built by the same yard in 1988; state-of-the-art electric propulsion, navigation equipment and vessel management systems provide genuine long-range capabilities, fuel efficiency and quiet operation, while limiting environmental impact. Her hybrid propulsion system allows for fully electric operation, supporting unrestricted use in regions with carbon emission bans, while Dynamic Positioning enables the yacht to remain stationary without anchoring – a valuable feature for sensitive coral areas, deep fjords and wildlife observation. The quality of her construction, systems, technology and equipment is reflected by her RINA Commercial Yacht Classification with Unmanned Machinery Space and Green Plus Gold Notations and qualify her for unrestricted navigation under charter, with a minimal crew and minimal ecological impact.
Her interior, penned by Vripack, is open, bright, contemporary and designed to maximize daylight and strengthen the connection between guests and the surrounding environment. The large master suite is positioned midships on the lower deck and features a dramatic1.5m skylight and generous 2.4m ceiling height, while the configuration of five guest cabins offers flexibility to suit a variety of owner and guest requirements.
On the main deck, a full-beam country kitchen style galley creates a more informal and social setting; large glass doors connect the salon directly to a centrally located beach club with shaded lounge areas, outdoor bar & galley and water-level boarding platforms.
The large bridge is open, inviting, offers 360 degrees visibility and features a walk-around command console with three 54″ monitors that provide an unusual level of situational awareness. Toward the stern, the bridge is connected to a salon with open access to al-fresco seating and dining.
Further enhancing her appeal, SCINTILLA MARIS offers exceptional exterior spaces including ambient deck heating and a six-person observation platform elevated 15 meters above the waterline.
The purpose of SCINTILLA MARIS is beyond having fun and has been elevated to serving as a meaningful platform for accessing the inaccessible, while actively engaging in exploration, science, and adventure.

The 8% Buyer’s Premium is Boathouse Auctions’ fee for managing and marketing each auction and is paid by the successful bidder based on their highest final bid.
This percentage is paid in full to the properly registered Yacht Broker representing the successful Buyer. It is not shared with the Listing Broker, who is paid an equal commission separately by the Seller.
