Built by renowned Alloy Yachts in New Zealand, SEAQUELL boasts a superior sailing yacht pedigree highlighted by a 2022 refit, 4,000nm range under power, and three ensuite staterooms + a fourth pullman nanny cabin. The current owner has cruised 50,000+ nm in 12 years and kept her well maintained.
SEAQUELL is an excellent example of the proven Dubois Design/Alloy constructed platform that remains popular 25 years after its launch. The reverse transom, twin helm stations, and generous cockpit leading into a 360-degree skylounge are distinctive features aboard SEAQUELL, which also delivers a voluminous 25’ beam, excellent headroom, and plenty of inviting interior and exterior areas.
A characteristic of the Alloy/Dubois design is the ability to cover an impressive number of cruising miles, and with her excellent sailing performance and a range of 4,000 nautical miles under power, SEAQUELL has proven herself to be a true global cruiser. Her travels over the past twelve years include the Pacific, Caribbean, Great Lakes, Mediterranean, the Baltic and the Black Sea.
The port and starboard stairways leading up the transom are an early Dubois/Alloy trademark and make for easy access onto the expansive aft deck. Spacious lockers are located aft on either side of the deck-level Jacuzzi, with generous foredeck and side decks, providing ample space to walk or work.
The twin steering station wheel and controls allow for excellent visibility while under sail as well as when docking the boat in close quarters. Forward of the helm station, the highly comfortable, center cockpit offers an excellent venue for outside dining or guests who wish to observe the sailing action underway. Immediately forward and above is an ideal sunning area and observation port that provides an elevated view of the horizon.
Guests may enter the skylounge one of two ways – either through the port or starboard doorways in the cockpit or up from the main salon – and are greeted with a breathtaking, 360-degree view of the horizon and comfortable seating. Just forward of the seating, the wheelhouse includes an interior steering station and navigation center, well-suited for passage making.
Forward of the helm station and below is the elegant and beamy main salon. Whether one wishes to host formal dining or simply relax, this light and well-appointed area has been refit by the present owner and holds a vast library of music and videos to entertain.
Leading aft from the salon and down just a few steps are the spacious ensuite port and starboard guest staterooms; the port guest stateroom includes a queen berth, sofa and desk, while the starboard guest stateroom includes twin berths that can be converted into one king size bed for added flexibility. Granite floors and counter surfaces have been renewed as of 2013.
The ensuite master stateroom, located completely aft, is full beam and offers a comfortable space to relax and unwind. A walk-around bed is complemented by a sofa, desk and plenty of storage. A steam shower is available, aside from the normal bath amenities, for an added luxury experience.
Forward and port side of the master is a bonus room/nanny cabin that can serve various functions, including a Pullman berth for sleeping, a gym or simply a storage area for luggage.
The full-beam galley and crew mess are located forward of the main salon for added privacy. All galley appliances are up-to-date, and the original galley has been upgraded to ensure exquisite dining experiences. Two crew cabins, each with berths and heads, provide space for up to 5 crew members.
The engine room is accessed from the aft passageway and is well-equipped for long passages. The present owner has stayed on top of routine maintenance throughout his ownership.
