Built for the original owner by Henze Yachts in Moehnen, Germany in 2002, Weatherly has been professionally maintained throughout her life. She was shipped to the US by the current owner in 2015 and has been an admired feature of the New England sailing scene for the past four years. She competed successfully in the last two Newport to Bermuda races and has cruised extensively along the New England coast from Long Island throughout Maine.
She is breathtakingly beautiful, fast, seaworthy, comfortable and with her self tacking jib, remarkably easy to sail. She offers accommodation in four separate cabins with a spacious and elegant main salon which is equipped with air conditioning and heating. A key attraction is the elegantly designed two berth pilot house offering high visibility shelter from weather and providing a popular assembly point for guests and crew, under way or at anchor.
Weatherly has been maintained continuously to the highest standards throughout her life. New electronics and safety equipment were installed prior to the 2016 Newport to Bermuda race and the shore power electric was fully converted to US standards. Prior to the 2019 summer season, the hull and pilot house were stripped of all varnish to bare wood and refinished in clear Awlgrip by the renowned Front Street Shipyard in Belfast, Maine. She looks spectacular with the added advantage of being easy to maintain.
Weatherly is highly seaworthy, simple to sail and operate single-handed, while combining ultimate function with style and simplicity.
